SAN ANTONIO, TEXASAugust 1952
Summary
On August 7, 1952, beginning about 9:00 p.m. Central time, a civilian woman in San Antonio, Texas, watched four objects over about an hour and ten minutes. She first went outside with her grandson to see an airplane, then noticed a large round object moving very fast. It came from the west, made a U-turn, and disappeared as if a light had been turned out. She then saw a second object in the north heading south, which gathered speed and vanished the same way.
A third object appeared from the north about 9:20 p.m. and moved slowly south. A fourth then appeared from the north, passed the third quickly, made a large circle bearing east, and disappeared as it lined up with the sun. A two-engine aircraft passed under the fourth object with no apparent reaction. The objects looked round but flat, about 18 inches across, and like a ball of white fire. All four seemed similar in size, shape, and color.
The objects gave off a color like white-hot metal, left no trail or exhaust, and made no sound. Speed was undetermined, but the woman said they moved at least three times faster than a propeller aircraft. Weather was fair. There was no physical evidence and no interception. The record card marks the conclusion as unknown.
