Summary
On September 23, 1956, a civilian in Hamilton, Ohio reported observing one object that appeared and faded like a star in continuous observation. The object was described as having the size and shape of a star, with red color on the bottom and green on top. No radar contact was made. The object's course was unknown. A Preparin officer believed the sighting to be an astro body, specifically the star Capella, positioned at 40 degrees azimuth and 15 degrees elevation. The case was evaluated as the star Capella.
