Summary

On April 10, 1956, a civilian at San Diego, California, reported several groups of objects. The report came in by letter and was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.

The witness saw groups of objects three times, with 8 to 30 objects in each flight. The objects were in a V formation and appeared to change positions from time to time. Each group was in view about two minutes. The observer also noticed jet aircraft in the area at the same time.

The Air Force concluded the sighting was probably generated by birds.
