Summary

On December 4, 1960, in San Diego, California, a military witness reported an extremely bright blue object. The witness looked up while getting out of a car and saw the object. It changed position and moved quickly in a way typical of a meteor. The object faded out after two seconds. The sighting lasted only a few seconds. A military source reported the object as round and dime-shaped. The Air Force evaluated the sighting as unidentified.

10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING
Vivid, extremely bright blue object, size of
dime, disappeared in almost the same position
as when first sighted, although it moved in a
straight flight path.

11. COMMENTS
The slight change in position and the
quick fade out are typical of a meteor.
