Summary

On November 6, 1957, at Roslyn Air Force Station in New York, a civilian observer reported seeing a round, red object moving back and forth for five minutes. The sighting was observed during daylight hours. Two objects were reported. The Air Force evaluation concluded the sighting was probably a balloon. Comments from investigators noted that the observer could not state the direction the objects were traveling. Proper evaluation could not be attempted without this information. However, the flight path suggested a balloon with lights.
