Summary

On October 1, 1960, in Paterson, New Jersey, two civilians observed an unidentified object described as disc-shaped, about the size of a silver dollar, with orange coloration. The formation was like a V-shape on the right side. The objects were far apart, then came very close together, separated again, and moved upward. The observation lasted 10 to 20 seconds. A report received in February 1961 described a similar sighting about four months earlier. The Air Force concluded the object was probably a meteor.

Disc about the size of a silver dollar, orange in color. Formation was like a "V" right side and upside down they were far apart then came very close together then they separated. Report received in Feb 61 of sighting about 4 months old.

It is believed that the object responsible for this sighting was probably a meteor.
