Summary

On March 28, 1961, an object was reported near Misawa Air Base, Japan, about 10:44 a.m. local time. The object was at tremendous height and moved on an azimuth from about 110 degrees to 070 degrees, in a general direction from south to north. It had a pulsating orange flame and a contrail that did not last. No other information was given.

On Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports, the comment said there was insufficient data to form a conclusion.
