Summary

On December 28, 1953, at about 12:35 a.m. local time near Madison, Connecticut, one observer reported an object. It was watched for about 30 seconds at an angle of about 30 degrees.

The object was described as a large ball of light, slightly greenish. A slight humming noise may have been heard. Its speed was called tremendous. It flew on a course parallel to the earth toward the west. It suddenly stopped, then slowly faded away.

The Air Force record lists the object as a possible jet aircraft that made a 90 degree turn and flew directly away. The card notes there was no case file beyond this summary.
