Summary

On August 1, 1952, near Utica, New York, a yellow circular object was sighted. The object moved into a valley and changed direction from east to westerly heading. The object's color changed from yellow to red. Visual observers from multiple locations, including three near Utica and one near Albany, reported sightings. An observer located high near New York said the object appeared to go down. The reported speed was approximately 625 miles per hour. The duration of observation was approximately 12 minutes.
