Summary

On November 10, 1955, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, a military observer reported seeing a round object that was white and blue in color with no sound. The object remained stationary. Its brightness appeared to increase and decrease. The observation lasted two hours. The object was observed using ground-visual methods. Two objects were reported in the field. The Air Force evaluated the sighting as astronomical, likely the planets Jupiter and Regulus, based on their positions at 80 degrees azimuth and 25 to 30 degrees elevation.
