Summary

On October 21, 1954, at Heyford, England, a military observer saw one tubular object twice the size of a B-47 fuselage with red sparks trailing behind it. The object traveled at 1000 knots. The observation lasted 2-3 seconds. The initial sighting was at 450 degrees elevation, 315 degrees azimuth, and the object descended to 450 degrees elevation, 135 degrees azimuth. The sighting was made by air visual observation from the southeast. No photos were taken. No physical evidence was found. The Air Force concluded the sighting was a meteor.
