Summary

On May 1, 1954, a civilian in Gravesville, New York reported seeing one object for 10 seconds. The object was greenish yellow, moving at very high speed in a straight course. It vanished behind clouds. The witness observed it at 70 to 80 degrees elevation and noted the object looked funny. The sighting was a ground visual observation. Colgate University astronomer evaluated the report as a possible meteor. The Air Force conclusion was probably astronomical: meteor.
