Summary

On March 6, 1958, in Denver, Colorado, a civilian observer reported seeing a bright object described as a ball bigger than a full moon. The object displayed a green flash and red tail with green and white flashes before burning out. The observation lasted about 3 to 4 seconds. The object moved to the north and northwest, then to the north and east, and arced across the sky before burning out. Ground-visual observation was made. Multiple witnesses included a CAA tower operator at Stapleton Airport and United Airlines flight crew over the Denver area. The Air Force evaluation was listed as 'Probably very bright meteor.'
