Summary

On August 3, 1952, at 3:20 a.m. local time, three oblong translucent objects were sighted near Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The objects flew in an inverted V formation and tumbled or flip-flopped during the nine-minute observation. One object briefly appeared plate-shaped. The witness was an engineer at a CAA station approximately 22,000 feet away. Visibility was 30 miles. Wind was from the north at three knots. No exhaust, propulsion, sound, or conventional maneuvering was observed. The official Air Force evaluation was listed as unknown.
