Summary

On March 30, 1961, a civilian in Akron, Ohio, reported an object about 6 p.m. local time. The object was dark in color and gave off sparks. It traveled slowly to the west. The sighting lasted about 10 to 15 minutes. An investigator obtained taped interviews with the witnesses.

On Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports, the comments said the information was incomplete. Until the taped interviews were received and further evaluation could be made, the card listed insufficient data for a conclusion.
