Summary

On July 24, 1955, in Akron, Ohio, civilian and military witnesses reported one round, light-silver object. The Air Force recorded the report under Project 10073, its official record for unidentified flying object reports.

The object looked about the size of a pinhead held at arm's length. It headed southwest at an altitude of about 15,000 feet. The sighting lasted about five minutes.

The Air Force agreed with the reporting officer that the witnesses saw sunlight reflecting at dusk off an aircraft known to be in the area at the time. The case was evaluated as a reflection off aircraft.
