Summary

On April 23, 1962, near Midway, an object was viewed at 40 degrees elevation appearing as a star or planet. The object moved west to south with a northern declination. It disappeared behind clouds at 39 degrees elevation. The observation lasted 10 minutes. One object was sighted. At 11:55 p.m. on April 23, 1962, an echo was heading almost due north at about 450 latitude, 164 degrees east longitude. The time of sighting was probably echo. The Air Force evaluation is listed as unknown.

10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING
Objt viewed at 40 degrees elevation appearing as star or planets. Objt moved W to S with Northern declination. Disappeared behind clouds at 39 elev. No optical aids.

11. COMMENTS
At 23/0715Z April 1962 Echo was heading almost due north at about 450 latitude, 164 degrees E longitude. If time of sighting was time of disappearance objt was probably echo.
