Summary

On January 28, 1961, a military observer in Terre Haute, Indiana reported an official moonwatch sighting of an unknown object. The observation was made at 2:42 p.m. (local time) from site 8127. One object was observed traveling in a south-southwest to north-northeast direction. The angular velocity was 0.4 degrees per second with a maximum magnitude of 40.5.
