Summary

On December 1, 1951, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, a civilian witness reported observing a blue light in the sky moving northwest in flight toward the southeast. The object was 10 to 20 seconds in duration and appeared to be 25 to 30 feet in diameter with a case iron composition. As the witness approached the glow, its size increased and color became bright orange. The witness observed the object sitting on the ground 10 to 15 yards from the edge of a road. The object featured a row of port holes approximately 1 foot from the top and about 10 inches in diameter. Orange glow came from the holes. A below-port holes row was another similar row of holes. The Air Force evaluation attributed the sighting to psychological causes due to the nature and delay of the report.
