Summary

In 1955, near Montevideo, an observer reported a bright light of strong intensity. The light hovered, and a smaller second light of the same color appeared just below it. The object then moved off toward the south. It made no noise.

The light pulsated, staying bright for about four seconds and dimming for about one second.

The Air Force said the object was possibly a balloon. The report was drawn from an intelligence message and kept on file in the records repository.
