Lexington Airport; Pendleton, Ore., March 1955March 1955

Insufficient Data

Summary

In March 1955, at Lexington Airport near Pendleton, Oregon, an observer reported two round, bright crimson objects. They were seen about three minutes apart. Each looked about as large as a pumpkin held at arm's length. Both objects seemed to disappear over the horizon heading due north.

The sky was completely overcast at the time.

The Air Force noted that the sighting took place at an airport and that the overcast sky seemed to rule out some explanations. The case is recorded under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
