Summary
On December 24, 1950, at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii, a D/Sgt and various civilians observed a white-orange tall object at 2232 hours. The object was sighted high at 6,000 feet altitude and remained visible for 30 to 45 seconds. One group member observed the object from the ground. A second report on December 25, 1950, from Hawaii involved a USAF pilot who observed an orange flame trailing object on December 27 at 0032 hours. The pilot reported the object moving over 300 miles per hour at approximately 8,000 feet altitude. The object was observed aerially and was compared to a like fighter aircraft. Air Force evaluation was listed as unknown.
