Summary

On October 22, 1955, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a 13-year-old high school student observed one oval object about the size of a half dollar held at arm's length. The object was white and left a contrail larger than itself. The observer took night photographs at the time of sighting and snapped one picture of the object. The sighting lasted one minute and thirty seconds. The object maintained straight and level flight at an elevation of 45 degrees, with azimuth readings of 279 degrees and then 250 degrees. It disappeared over the horizon. One photograph was obtained and was pending development. The Air Force evaluation was listed as unknown.
