Summary
On August 27, 1956, at 8:02 p.m., a civilian in Detroit, Michigan reported observing a round, baseball-sized object that was yellow-white in color. The witness was walking in a yard when the object was seen. The observation lasted an unknown duration and the object's course was unknown. The Air Force investigation noted that weather balloons had been launched from Selfridge or Willow Run in the area. The Air Force concluded the sighting was a Possible Balloon.
