Summary

On April 19, 1959, at about 0352Z, a witness near Detroit, Michigan, reported a bright object at night. The sighting was reported through the Air Force's unidentified flying object record system.

The object was disc-shaped and about the size of a pea. It was bluish white in color. It was first seen in the position of the moon and last seen in the position of Saturn before it disappeared.

The record card concluded the most probable cause was a meteor.
