Summary

On September 20, 1958, in the evening, witnesses in Dayton, Ohio saw three objects. There was one white object and two red objects, each about the size of a pea at arm's length. The white object moved and was joined by the two red ones. The three came back toward the west, then the white and one red went out of sight to the west, and the other red also vanished. The white one then returned heading north and disappeared. All the motion was in a zig-zag pattern. The sighting lasted about 15 to 20 minutes. This was a ground visual report.

The report was filed on Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The Air Force said the witnesses apparently observed Strategic Air Command aircraft refueling in the area at the time.
