Summary
In April 1952, near Columbus, Indiana, a large fireball was reported in the sky. Witnesses described it as fire colored and circular, with a tail. The ball of fire was said to be about one-third the size of the full moon. Two small tails appeared to drop off the object.
Much of the record card for this case is faint and hard to read, so details such as the exact time and witness type are not clear. The report was one of several fireball sightings in the region at this time.
