Summary

In April 1954 in Boulder City, Nevada, a witness reported an unidentified object at night during a full moon. The observer said the object was elongated and about 45 feet long. Color could not be seen because of the darkness. Reddish light came from what looked like portholes. There was no tail or exhaust. The sound was not like a propeller or jet but a prominent buzzing of high pitch. The object first looked like a bright star. It held a steady, straight path and the sighting lasted about one minute. The reporting officer offered no comment. No information was presented that conflicted with an aircraft explanation.
