On August 14, 1958, a reddish-orange object was sighted at Angel's Peak, Nevada, near Nellis Air Force Base. The object was described as round, about the size of a half dollar held at arm's length, and whitish orange in color. It came directly toward the observer, then stopped for 5 seconds and moved directly away until it disappeared. The sighting lasted 20 to 40 seconds total, with observation and disappearance occurring at 15 degrees elevation and 15 degrees azimuth.
