Summary

On May 24, 1955, a civilian about 75 miles west-northwest of an Ohio location saw a single object. The sighting lasted about four minutes.

The object was round and white, about the size of a dime held at arm's length. It stayed motionless the whole time. It was at an estimated altitude of 7,000 to 10,000 feet.

The Air Force record lists the case as probably a balloon. Officials noted the observer's description closely matched that of a balloon. No follow-up investigation was authorized.
