Insufficient Data

Summary

In March 1962, a crew aboard an aircraft off the Oregon coast (about 42-27N 126-49W) reported one white object with a tail about 15 times the size of the object. The tail turned orange at the far end. The object fell in a straight line toward the ocean. The Air Force noted that satellite decay information was not yet available for that date, but said the duration was too short and the breaking up and red colors did not fit a reentry. The record card carried the case as astronomical (a meteor).
