Summary

On October 31, 1956, a civilian in Temple City, California reported seeing a yellowish orange object larger than a star. The object was extremely bright and remained motionless for three to five minutes, then moved east at slow speed. The light diminished and the object moved out of sight slowly. It was seen visually for five minutes total. A concerned officer wrote that the sighting was probably caused by aircraft exhaust. The Air Force evaluation was unidentified.
