Summary

On January 3, 1961, southwest of Stuttgart, Germany, a military observer reported an unidentified flying object. The object was rectangular and reflected bright orange-yellow color. It came from a round-shaped object beneath it far enough to plainly discern separation. A faint high-pitched whistle was heard before the object reached zenith and then died out after passage. The sighting lasted three minutes. Size was unknown but much larger than stars. The object was observed from the ground aided by optical instruments between 1740 and 1743 hours. The object moved in a straight flight path and disappeared as it climbed. Air Force evaluation is unknown.

10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: Top unit was rectangular | 11. COMMENTS: Witness attempted to indicate
and reflected a bright orange-yellow color. Similar to a rocket exhaust that was coming from a round shaped object beneath it far enough to plainly discern the separation. Faint high pitched whistle heard before object reached Zenith and then died out after passage. Size not known, but was much larger than stars. Sighting lasted 3 min, yet only one report was ever made. The information is very limited and general, precluding a valid conclusion.
