Summary
On April 20, 1952, in Solano County, California, near the Suisun Marsh, a civilian dentist reported a bright luminous object. The sighting happened about 0300 hours (3:00 a.m.) from his country home.
The object was described as a clearly defined circle or disk, bluish white and luminous in color. It traveled in a straight line from the northwest horizon to the southwest horizon. The witness saw no aerodynamic features, no exhaust, and heard no sound. He could give no information about how it was propelled.
The speed and altitude were not measured or estimated. The object crossed the sky in about one to two minutes. The witness stated it did not appear to be a meteor. The Office of Special Investigations looked into the report and closed the case. On the Air Force record card, the case was marked Possibly Astronomical.
