Summary

On December 19, 1960, near SE Guam, military personnel observed an object of first magnitude brightness. The object was picked up at 15 degrees elevation and 335 degrees bearing. It disappeared after moving in a straight flight path at 5 degrees elevation on a 130 degree heading. The sighting lasted 19 minutes. The object was believed to be a satellite. One object was sighted traveling southeast. The Air Force evaluation was satellite.
