Summary
On July 28, 1952, a civilian woman in Riverside, California reported observing a large bluish-white object with a sharp exhaust trail that emitted a noise like a jet engine. The object flew straight and level for one to two seconds. The sighting occurred at 10:22 p.m. near Riverside. The observer was located in the city watching stars when the object passed overhead from northwest to southeast and disappeared into scattered cloud cover. The object was estimated at 120 feet in diameter. The Air Force found no physical evidence, fragments, or photos to support the report and took no identifying action on the case.
