Summary
On September 1, 1956, a civilian ground observer in Pueblo, Colorado, reported four objects. The sighting was recorded at 0513Z and lasted about two hours.
The witness described four round objects, each about the size of a pea held at arm's length. The objects had red and green flashing lights and were seen in different parts of the sky. They were relatively stationary. They were viewed both with the naked eye and through binoculars. By the end one of the four had set behind the horizon.
The Air Force concluded the sighting was definitely caused by the stars Vega, Alioth, Dubhe, and Capella. The evaluation was astronomical.
