Insufficient Data

Summary

On August 23, 1955, near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a civilian who was watching the stars saw small objects in the sky. The observer was about five miles north of Rockville Bridge. The Air Force time stamp was 0425Z on August 24.

The witness reported small objects that changed colors, showing red, white, and blue. The objects looked about the size of a pea held at arm's length. They traveled from north to south on a wobbly course. The objects seemed very high. One was watched for about ten seconds before it disappeared into the city lights. The sky was clear with fair weather.

The Air Force noted the sighting was a possible meteor observation. However, it found the report lacked coherence and did not have enough data to evaluate. The card lists the case as insufficient data.
