Summary

On March 20, 1956, a pilot reported one light about 19 miles northeast of Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. The report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.

The witness saw one white fluorescent-like light. Its shape could not be made out. It looked about the size of a pea held at arm's length. The light faded, then grew brighter at regular intervals, but did not blink. The object appeared below the observer's aircraft. It seemed to climb and turn right. Its speed was estimated at 700 knots. The sighting lasted about 30 seconds.
