Summary

On December 8, 1957, a civilian Texas oil field worker in Loving, Texas sighted a round, silver object about the size of a dime. The object faded from sight during an observation lasting one hour. The witness viewed it with binoculars in clear weather. No azimuth, elevation, or flight path was recorded. The Air Force concluded the sighting was insufficient information to evaluate, possibly a balloon or astronomical sighting.
