Summary

On the night of October 19 to 20, 1961, military witnesses on Grand Cayman Island in the West Indies reported an object. The witnesses were weather technicians. They described an elliptical object that was brighter than the planet Venus and oval in shape, with small lights moving clockwise around it. The object moved in an erratic, looping path and changed directions before disappearing behind a cloud bank. Binoculars were used. The weather was stormy. Three objects were noted on the record card. The Air Force considered a possible balloon but noted the witnesses had knowledge of upper air balloons. A request for more information could not be filled because of the observers' location. The case was listed as insufficient data.
