Summary

On May 7, 1957, at approximately 8:25 p.m., a civilian witness in Fargo, North Dakota reported observing one round white object the size of a star at arm's length. The object moved from a bearing of 030 degrees azimuth to 315 degrees azimuth over a period of ten minutes before disappearing at the horizon. The witness was a high school student, age 16. The Air Force concluded the sighting was probably caused by an aircraft based on the description, duration, flight path, and manner of disappearance.
