Summary

On May 25, 1957, near Elkhorn, Wisconsin, civilian witnesses observed three red and white circular objects in the night sky. The sighting lasted about two minutes. Observers heard a sound dimmer than normal aircraft noise. One witness initially thought the objects were aircraft until a white light appeared and red lights separated. Another witness in an automobile saw only the white light and believed it was a flare. The Air Force investigation noted the description and duration indicated the sighting was caused by aircraft.
