Summary
On April 18, 1956, a civilian in Traverse City, Michigan, reported seeing one object in the western sky. The object was described as a deep yellow round object with a red tail that appeared as a brilliant light. It moved north and south over a two-hour period. A reporting officer stated the object matched sightings in the area over the past few weeks and was undoubtedly the planet Venus. The Air Force evaluated this case as Venus.
