Summary

On May 26, 1955, near Clearfield, Pennsylvania, a civilian observer reported seeing an object with no specific shape that changed color from white to red and back. The object appeared like a normal aircraft light blinking but was not because two aircraft passed the object and could not compare. The witness heard no sound and observed flickering up and down motion. The sighting lasted approximately two hours. The object appeared stationary, possibly moving upward. Three witnesses reported the sighting: Floyd Casady, Jerry Cochran, and Harding Turner. Two aircraft were vectored to the reported UFO position but had to return to base due to fuel. Radar did not pick up the object. The Air Force evaluation was listed as unknown.
