Summary
On November 7, 1961, a military and civilian radar report came from the Arlington Heights, Illinois, area at about 7:55 a.m. The objects were tracked on radar. Three objects were reported, moving in trail at an azimuth of about 115 to 123 degrees. The elevation was unknown. The objects' speed was put at about 4,000 knots, or about 4,000 feet at one point in the report. Two of the objects were lost in ground clutter. Each was tracked for about one minute. The Air Force noted the radar analyst could not fully evaluate the track without knowing the scope's operating details. The case was listed as insufficient data.
