The object was bright and shiny. It was first seen bearing about 280 degrees at 25 degrees elevation and was lost on the horizon bearing about 209 degrees. It moved on a heading of about 140 degrees with a rapid bearing rate. Sea visibility was unlimited. Later messages corrected the time of the sighting.
