Summary

On January 10, 1954, in York, Pennsylvania, one civilian witness reported seeing a bright moving object forming an arc or cone shape with a round base. Several people observed it traveling at rapid speed. The sighting lasted 2-3 seconds. The witness reported that the object left a blue glow followed by a yellow arc in its wake, traveling in an easterly direction. The Air Force evaluated this case as an unidentified sighting.
