Summary

On August 6, 1952, around 7:15 a.m. local time, a civilian man in Washington, D.C. reported two discs. He said they were about the size of a fifth-cent coin held at arm's length. The discs appeared to float toward Andrews Air Force Base at jet speed.

The man said one disc held a steady, constant course while the other circled it. The sighting was made by the naked eye.

The Air Force record card for this case lists possible conclusions of aircraft or astronomical, but does not give a final answer. The brief summary on the card is the only detail available, and little other information was recorded.
