Summary

On January 17, 1957, at 6:30 p.m. in Twenty-Nine Palms, California, a civilian witness observed a round, pea-sized yellow object with a yellow rod in its appearance. The object moved from southeast to northwest and faded out. It was visible for 2 minutes, hovering halfway between the horizon and zenith at 45 degrees.
